As we near the end of June, students continue to show their enthusiasm and energy in the classroom and beyond.  

The school year is quickly wrapping up, and we know some of our students and families are heading off for summer adventures early! While we'll have one last full-school gathering next week, we wanted to take a moment now to wish everyone departing before June 27th a fantastic summer.

Discover Our New Outdoor Learning Space!

Last year, thanks to the hard work and creativity of our School Council, we secured municipal funding to support an amazing outdoor learning project! A dedicated team, led by Greg Velis, has since built an incredible outdoor gardening learning space, including a unique 'root zone' learning lab. The vertical panels allow students to plant seeds and watch them grow, offering a hands-on experience with nature. We're truly excited this project will have a lasting impact, teaching our students about environmental sustainability and enhancing our school's outdoor activities for years to come.

We hope you'll all take some time on your next visit to LePhare—perhaps at next week’s family picnic—to check out this amazing addition! You'll find it located next to the play structure, along the kindergarten fence.

A big thank you goes out to Marianna Connors for her excellent work in creating the grant application, and to Greg Veils for his leadership in designing and ultimately implementing this wonderful project. Thank you also to the wonderful volunteers who spent time digging holes in preparation for the footings! It was truly a team effort!

Freezie THURSDAY

Freezies will be for sale one more time next week.  On THURSDAY, students from the sewing club will be selling freezies for $0.50 to help offset costs of materials for their projects.

Celebrate 50 Years of LePhare This September!

LePhare is turning 50 this September! To mark this special occasion, we'll be collecting artifacts from the past five decades, including class photos, books, and memorabilia.

More details about our 50th-anniversary celebrations will be announced in September. In the meantime, please help us spread the word to neighbours, family, and friends who are LePhare graduates!
