As we head into Monday, we're officially starting our final month of the school year! We know it might seem like things are slowing down as the year ends, but for our students and staff, June is actually a very busy time! We're committed to a full month of continued learning, alongside all the fun end-of-year events and celebrations we have planned. We're looking forward to a fantastic final month with your children!

Bus Lanes

Bikes

As the weather warms and more students cycle to school, it's fantastic to see them starting their day with fresh air and exercise, setting them up for success. To ensure everyone's safety, especially during the busy arrival period, please remember important bike safety guidelines: Bikes are never permitted in the bus lane. When entering the schoolyard, please use only the designated one-way entrance. For added safety, we recommend students dismount their bikes on the sidewalk and walk them to the bike racks. Your cooperation in following these guidelines will help maintain a safe environment for all students.

Cars

Just a friendly reminder regarding the bus lanes: please always adhere to the posted signs that clearly indicate when access is prohibited. Even a momentary stop in these lanes can significantly disrupt the smooth and timely arrival of our school buses, impacting all students who rely on them. Your attention to these signs ensures a safer and more efficient arrival for everyone.

Are you going on holiday?

As the school year nears its end and families begin planning summer holidays and adventures, we kindly request that you inform the school office in writing if your child will be leaving school before the final day in June. This will help us ensure accurate attendance records and a smooth transition for your child. Thank you for your cooperation.

LePhare Swag Pickup Notification 

If you ordered LePhare swag, it's ready for pickup!

Pickup Date: Monday, June 2nd
Time: Between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM
Location: School main entrance

If you're unable to come during that time, no worries! You can email us at sc-lepharees@ocdsb.ca to arrange to have the swag sent home with your child. Please include your name, your child's name and homeroom teacher in the email.

We'd love for you to join us for a little treat and some friendly socializing with fellow volunteers in the school library on Thursday, June 5th, from 1:15 AM to 2:15 PM.

This is a small way for us to express our sincere gratitude for everything you do to support our school and our students. Your dedication and hard work make a real difference, and we truly appreciate your commitment.
