With the arrival of summer this week, we want to remind you about our district's heat exposure policies. Our staff have been updated on these protocols to ensure student safety during warmer weather. Please help us by dressing your children in light, loose clothing and providing hats for outdoor play. If you choose to send sunscreen, it must be applied independently by your child (no sprays, please; sunscreen sticks work well for younger students). Please note that students will not share sunscreen. 

We also notice appetites increase in warmer weather. Please ensure that your child has adequate food for their busy days at school and that they have a refillable water bottle to ensure proper hydration. 

Jump Rope for Heart

Today students enjoyed the kick off assembly for our annual Jump Rope for Heart campaign.  Jump Rope for Heart is a movement to get kids active, have fun, practice healthy habits, and teach the importance of giving back.

We are encouraging some friendly competition to see how much money LePhare can raise to support this worthwhile cause. We hope these incentives encourage students to fundraise for this worthwhile cause and match our total from last year of $3000!

School Council Picnic

Mark your calendars! School Council’s end-of-year picnic for LePhare families will take place on Wednesday, June 25th. More details will be shared in the coming weeks.

Kindergarten Open House

We're excited to welcome our new kindergarten students for the 2025-2026 school year to an open house on Thursday, May 29th. This will be a chance for your child to visit a kindergarten classroom and meet some of our educators.

If you haven't registered your child for kindergarten yet, please do so as soon as possible! We look forward to meeting them on May 29th.
