A couple of friendly reminders from School Council

The deadline to pre-order Papa Jack Popcorn is Sunday, April 6 at 11:59 p.m.  Families are encouraged to pre-order for the last 10 weeks of delivery, now. Children may purchase their bag(s) by bringing cash to their homeroom teacher (for $2 per bag) on THREE Thursdays: April 17th, May 15th and June 12th. 

Also, Le Phare swag sale continues, until April 13. Please peruse our online store for t-shirts, hoodies, and zip-ups!

Basketball Fundraiser

Grade 4 students are hosting a basketball shooting challenge fundraiser during recess from April 7-11 to support their upcoming field trip.

• Cost: $2 for 3 shots (all students can bring their $ on Monday, or throughout the week).

• Prizes: Students making 2 out of 3 shots advance for a chance to win "Teacher/Principal for a Day"!

• Age Groups:

• Grades 3-5: School basketball hoops.

• Kindergarten-Grade 2: Hula hoop targets.

• Schedule:

• Monday: Kindergarten (1st recess)

• Tuesday: Grade 1 (1st recess)

• Wednesday: Grade 2 (1st recess) & Grade 5 (2nd recess)

• Thursday: Grade 3 (1st recess)

• Friday: Grade 4 (1st recess)

Please send $2 with your child on Monday so that they can be entered in the competition! (Money coming after Monday will also be accepted).

Elementary Program Review

A revised proposal related to the Elementary Program Review was released on Thursday with information regarding a number of changes proposed in response to the original proposal. 

These changes were made as a result of feedback received from community consultations.

Trustee Cathryne Milburn will be joining a combined school council meeting on Wednesday, April 9 6:30 pm at Henry Munro Middle School to engage in community consultation with respect to the Elementary Program Review.
